January 2013 Message from the Faeries
Greetings! Happy New Year! 2012 was a much anticipated year, and has finally completed. And so we begin a cycle in more ways than one. It is true that we begin another year of 365.25 days: 2013 – the Year of Brotherhood. As of December 22nd, 2012, though, we began a much longer cycle. December 21st was a highly publicized date because it was the end of the Mayan long and short count calendar, the end of a very long cycle. December 22nd, 2012, however was the beginning. The beginning of a new 25,625 year cycle. According to many ancient cultures the 22nd marked the date where the divine feminine moves back onto the scene. For the next 13,000 years she moves into her rightful place next to the divine masculine energy. Balance can be restored as Mother God is expressed and integrated. Cycles are powerful, and it is important to harmonize with them.
I tried to write this message Monday, and yet something told me to wait until today. Why? Because tomorrow is the New Moon, and according to the faeries, this message was to be about honoring the cycles of Nature, specifically the Moon’s Cycles. You see, I tried to force a new thing, and it wasn’t flowing. I kept thinking it should go out Monday – on my time – instead of surrendering to Divine Timing and moving with the flow and rhythm of life. These energies are not meant to constrict us; they are not rules. They are merely meant to support humankind. If we understand the energies of these celestial bodies such as the Moon perhaps we can learn how to move in harmony with these energies, and allow these rhythms to support us. Have you ever felt as if you were going against the grain? Or fighting the proverbial uphill battle? Learning to tune into these cycles can only enhance us and support us on our journey.
The faeries started to download the information for this message in beautiful swirling visuals – they know how to catch my attention. They seamlessly explained the interrelationship of many things. The Moon was the central theme, and it was really about the role the moon plays in our lives, and how we can work with her to support us. I hope to convey clearly to you the many things I was shown.
Just by contemplating the Moon we may come to understand many things. Let us try to understand the Moon by taking a look at what we see, feel, and think. We associate many things with the Moon when we think of her: divine feminine, silver, mother-of pearl, mystery, the subconscious, dreaming, and intuition to name a few. The indigenous always referred to her as Grandmother Moon, as the Moon is a feminine energy. So both the Earth and Moon are feminine, but very different. When one connects with the Earth we typically feel the Mother – this energy is very loving, supportive and nurturing. When we tap into the Moon, however, we get a different flavor of feminine qualities: the Grandmother – the wise sage filled with wisdom and mystery.
As we awaken to the Moon’s energy, we are able to understand the Moon’s cycles. We can see the application of the Law of Rhythm – the ebbing and flowing of nature’s cycles. The Moon demonstrates this in many ways for us. From our viewpoint here on Earth, she teaches us this profound lesson as she moves in harmony with the Sun. The Moon and the Sun are always present, but they choose to take the stage at their appropriate time. The Sun shines all day long while the Moon waits in humble silence. Then when the night comes the Moon shines her light for all to see. The Sun and the Moon do not vie for sky time. No, they gracefully take their turns dancing on the stage of the sky.
Another way the Moon teaches us about finding our own rhythm is through her own monthly cycle. She begins each cycle anew in New Moon phase and slowly builds and grows until she expresses her full potential as Full Moon. This flowing part of the cycle we call waxing. Then she begins to wind down, deconstructing, going within, or ebbing. From Full Moon phase moving down to New Moon phase, we call this cycle waning.
Why is all this important? The faeries explain that we must move back into alignment with the rhythm with life. It is time to step into the flow of the universe. The Moon can help us learn about the ebb and flow of all of life, working in harmony wit
Close your eyes. Breathe. Breathe and feel your heart. Feel the presence of God all around you, and within you. Feel the light that is you. Now in this energy, ask to connect to Grandmother Moon. Feel your love for her, and send it forth to her. Feel her love for you. She is in New Moon phase now. What does New Moon energy feel like? What do you see? How does it feel? See what comes up for you. You can talk to her now. State your intention lovingly: you would like to learn about how you can work together. Ask her to teach you about the Moon cycles and in particular the New Moon. Don’t worry if you don’t think anything is happening. The Moon has many ways of teaching. When you feel like the transmission is complete, thank her. Breathe. Feel your heart. Open your eyes.
Again do not be worried that you did not get anything. Pay attention to your dreams, for the Moon loves to work with our subconscious minds. Sometimes our conscious minds cannot comprehend the encoded energy. That is okay. Allow yourself time to integrate. Feel free to repeat this exercise as often as you like. This can be exciting to do at different phases to see if you distinguish the variances in energy.
Blessings and Faery Light,
Diomira Rose and the Faeries
